Rupert Laycock is a Melbourne-based photographer and director, known for his dynamic approach to fashion, swimwear, lifestyle, and commercial photography. His vivid, high-contrast style captures the essence and individuality of his subjects, using natural and studio lighting to enhance visual storytelling. Rupert’s skills extend to portrait and product photography, including beauty, food and beverage, and jewellery, with images that align perfectly with brand aesthetics.
With a degree from RMIT in 2012, Rupert’s career took him to London, where he worked in senior photography roles, collaborating with major brands and publications. His work is rooted in authentic storytelling, capturing moments in both photography and videography with a unique perspective.
Returning to Melbourne in 2021, Rupert continues to work with creative agencies and brands locally and internationally. His motion work captures the dynamic essence of brands, blending creative storytelling with technical expertise. Rupert values building close relationships with his clients and is always keen to meet new talent and explore new locations.
