Rupert Laycock is a Melbourne-based photographer and director known for sharp, energetic image-making across fashion, swim, lifestyle and commercial work. His practice moves easily between stills and motion, using natural and studio light with the same eye for atmosphere, clarity and character.
After graduating from RMIT in 2012, Rupert spent years in London in senior photography roles, working with major brands and publications before returning to Melbourne in 2021. That mix of agency discipline, editorial instinct and production fluency now sits at the centre of his commercial work.
He shoots people and product with the same focus on story, shape and finish, whether the brief calls for beauty, food and beverage, jewellery, portraiture or moving image direction.
